Wilma C. Chadwick Rochester: Saturday, November 25, 2023 in her 100th year of life at the age of 99 3/4. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara A. Chadwick and Dennis Yusa; two nieces and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas C. Chadwick in 2001 and brother, Robert F. Clark and his wife, Joyce. She graduated from the Eastman School of Music Preparatory Department in piano and East H.S. in 1941. She was retired from the Rochester City School District. Her many activities included being a member of Buttonwood Twig, the Red Hats and Bethany Presbyterian Church. Private Funeral Services and Interment in Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers friends may make contributions to the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in her memory.
Dear Barbara and Dennis, Sending my deepest sympathies to you both. I am keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers this week.
Wilma was a wonderful woman. I enjoyed her each time I met her. Peace to her.
It was a delight getting to know Wilma while she resided at the Cottages at Unity. She was the perfect example of a lady, with her beautifully coiffed hair and her properly manicured nails. She always looked like she was ready for a tea party. I will miss Wilma and her daughter, Barb, when I go to visit my mom at the Cottages. I would have loved to know Wilma in her prime and hear her play the piano. She was a very accomplished woman and lived a full life.
Deepest condolences to Barbara and Dennis. Aunt Wilma was always smiling and positive. Our family albums are full of many holiday pictures with Aunt Wilma, Uncle Tom, Barbara and other relatives – good times shared by all. Lori and I will always have fond memories of Aunt Wilma – especially her extraordinary kitchen talents, in addition to her musical gifts.
Dear Barb, I was saddened to read of your mother’s passing after such a long life. She must have had a positive influence on you. I’ve lost your address, but know you later taught in Africa after Gates Chili. God bless you and comfort you. Norma Bemce Grover .
Wilma, we were neighbors for 30 years but didn’t get to know each other until I retired! Loads of laughs when I would visit and bring you chicken soup! I enjoyed looking at your family photos and talking golf! We were both “lucky neighbors “! Thanks for all the fond memories! I will miss you….
