Penfield: passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at age 92. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his children, William (Ann), Brian (Margaret), Brett (Kelly) Zimmer; grandchildren, William, Meghan, Victoria (Matthew), Allison (James), Morgan, Sara (Thai); great-granddaughter Lucy, loving family and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Patricia; father and mother, Max and Mary; brother, Robert; and sisters Eunice, Lee and Marie.
Bill was especially proud of his service in the United States Navy where he served during the Korean War. He was also very proud of his long career with Eastman Kodak, where he served as Director of Marketing and Nomenclature.
Those who knew Bill will remember him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His family and the many people whose lives he touched will miss him dearly.
William’s internment will be held privately.
My uncle Billy (as some of us called him) was the best person I have ever known. He was smart, devoted to family, very witty and just so much more. He was my godfather and I had the honor of him walking me down the aisle at my wedding as my daddy (his older brother) had passed. He was and will always be loved by many and I know I miss him already. I love you Uncle Billy. Fly high with your love, my cute Aunt Pat and the rest of the family. Xoxo.
