Ducey, William J. ’Bill’ Greece: Peacefully at home on August 22nd after a brief illness at age 85. Predeceased by his son-in-law, Barry Alloco; grandson, Timothy Strohmeyer. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carol (Meagher) Ducey; sister, Peg (Bob) French, children, Kathleen Alloco, Michael (Karyn) Ducey, Karen (Larry) Conrad, James (Maureen) Ducey, Carol (Craig) Ramsdell; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, Bill was born on September 5, 1929 in Rochester, NY. He was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp., served our country in the Korean War and a recipient of several distinguished honors. He retired from Eastman Kodak Co. in 1986 following 33 years of service. The family would like to thank the staff of the 5th floor at Rochester General Hospital and the staff at Lifetime Care Hospice. Bill’s visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25th 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Rd., Greece Chapel. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Wednesday August 26th 9:00 AM at St. Mark’s Church, 54 Kuhn Road. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Cure Childhood Cancer Association in his memory.
