William E. Heinrich “Bill” Hilton: Sunday, April 4, 2021 at age 76. Predeceased by his parents, George and Pearl Heinrich; uncle, Ray Sykes; aunt, Margaret Sykes, aunt, Phyllis Caves. Survived by his wife, Bessie Heinrich; daughter, Deborah (Al Micchia) Ranieri; grandson, John (Katie) Ranieri Jr.; great-granddaughter, Ellie Bee Ranieri; siblings, Darlene Heinrich, Paul (Kathy) Heinrich and Margaret (Dan) Milner; sister-in-law, Lorie (Randy) Cook; many nieces, nephews & cousins; dear friends. Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 20. He enjoyed fishing and working on his lake side home. He was a recumbent bicycle rider, and rode around three of the great lakes and followed the Adventure Cycling Southern Tier Route. He enjoyed telling jokes and was a professional napper. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Bill’s visitation will be held Thursday, April 8th 4-8 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 9th 11:00 AM at St. Leo’s Church 110 Old Hojack Lane Hilton NY. Bill is and will always be with us in our HEARTS and SPIRITS. One of the BEST story tellers of all time. It always started with the words TRUE STORY and then you know to get ready to Laugh out LOUD Thanks Bill and Bless you Bess for all you have been through.
I only got to know BASSNBILL in recent years when he volunteered at R Community Bikes. Bill would take an old bike and spend quite a while lovingly restoring it to near-new condition. No halfway doll-up from him. Bill didn’t do anything halfway. He once grabbed the shop vac to clean up a small area of the workshop; then, he vacuumed the entire workshop, the storage area and both the front and the side sidewalks. No small task and it hasn’t been as clean since. Bill entertained us with many stories of the Navy, cycling and, of course, jokes. We will miss him.
Bessie, I’m so sorry to hear about Bill. We won’t be able to attend his wake because we’re in Florida until the 20th. But both of will be in our thoughts. Jim and Sue Cecere

Can’t express how sad to learn of Bill’s passing. Truly an extraordinary person who’s friendship and partner I’ve enjoyed for many years volunteering with Bill at RCommunity bikes. Always looked forward to hearing his joke of the day and experiences he shared of his service in the navy, as well as, his extensive cycling accomplishments. Bill lived a great life & made everyone who knew him a little bit happier & with a big smile for knowing him. Truly a life well lived. He will be missed by all who knew him. Jim & Nancy Bresnahan
I first met Bill as a volunteer, working together at R Community Bikes. And it was after talking with him for awhile that I learned that we both shared a love of fishing and Recumbent Trikes. You couldn’t help but like this guy! Whether he was telling one of his infamous stories, lending a helping hand when needed or seeing a task that needed to be done and doing it without being asked, Bill was there. He will be sorely missed. His famous parting line when walking out the door at the shop was “See ya. It’s been a pleasure; if not in the coming, then in the going.” Though he is gone, he will not be forgotten, as we will always remember the part he played in our lives.` Thank you for those good memories Bill.

Bessie, I am so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing—I will miss seeing him on my walks. Always had a cheerful greeting. My prayers for your comfort and may the days ahead be filled with fond memories of your wonderful relationship. God bless you and your family—

Billy Heinrich, god only made one of him. We became close friends through the chapter 20 and enjoyed marching and attending activities for chapter. His wit was sometimes very corny, but we all laughed with him never at him. very sadly missed by me and all who knew him, rest well brother.
