Grottanelli, Virginia ‘Sharon’ Spencerport: Thursday, March 31, 2016 at age 74. Predeceased by her husband, Ronald; sister, Barbara Anson, brother, Paul Anson; beloved sister-in-law, Christine Burke. Survived by her children, Jill (Philip) Taylor and Ronald Grottanelli; grandchildren, Patrick, Sean and Liam Taylor; sister, Brenda Fitzgerald; brothers, Kevin (Ruby) Anson and Douglas Anson. Virginia’s visitation will be held Monday April 4th from 3-6PM where a Prayer Service will be held at 6PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Lifetime Care c/o Hildebrandt Hospice 3111 S. Winton Road Rochester NY 14623. in her memory. My heart and prayers go out to the entire family. I never had the opportunity to know Sharon but I’ve known her daughter, Jill, since we were children. I am sure Jill learned to be the incredibly kind, caring and enuthisiastic person that she is from the guidance given to her by her mother. May Sharon rest in peace.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her daughter Jill’s family and her son Bub.
She loved her children and her grandchildren and shared their stories on the phone with my mom. I’m glad she loved and appreciated the quilt her great grandma made.
