Darlene, We are so sorry to hear about Vic’s passing. You both were great teachers for Robin as she started to work. We missed the wonderful pizzas, subs and the people when we moved away. We think of you all with fond memories. God Bless.
So very sorry to hear of Vic’s passing. A great individual, friend and family man. our prayers go out for Vic, His family and may the Good Lord watch over him forever.
We will miss Vic. He was an inspiration.
I’ve known you for only 15 years. Those years were full of hard work and a whole lot of fun & laughs. You were a true friend an golfing buddy. I’ll always be thankful for the guidance you’ve given me. You left us way too soon. Hopefully, we’ll have one more round when we meet again.
My time working with Vic at Deerfield are some of the best years of my life. He treated my family and me like his own. He was there when my second son was born. I became a better man from my time with Vic. He would do anything for me, and I would do the same for him. Thank you Vic and Darlene for everything you have done for me. He will be missed.
Over 30 yrs ago, you hired me at Colombini’s. You taught me, mentored me and trusted me to be an integral part of your business. I learned so much from you during those years about business, hard work, rewarding people and giving to others. You and Darlene made me part of the ‘family’ and I was blessed to have spent 5 wonderful years with you, your family and friends at the store. Thank you for so many wonderful memories from the original store, the new store and visits at Deerfield.
I still talk about my time at Colombini’s like it was yesterday and always refer to it as the best job I have ever had. I will miss you my friend. May God bless you and grant Darlene strength. Love and sympathy to the family, Scott
So sorry to hear of Vic’s passing. We’ve missed seeing him at Deerfield these last few years. Always a gentleman and a nice guy. My God bless your soul my friend, rest in peace.
Though I haven’t seen Vic for forty years He is a person that remains in my thoughts. We attended St Anthony’s and Aquinas together. We were vice – chairmen of the oral english club and served on student council together. Though i don’t know much of his later life I know he was bright, friendly and a good man. My thoughts go out to his family.
Vic and Darlene were such a part of my growing up. I learned so many things working at that store and made so many wonderful friends. We worked so hard and yet had fun doing it. Darlene, I am sorry for your loss and hope you can find comfort. Billie
Vic was an inspiration to everyone who came in contact with him. His personal drive and dedication to his many customers at Colombini’s bakery and deli on Chili Ave. in Chili Center kept all of us coming back to not only enjoy his delicacies but also to talk with Vic. You will be greatly missed, Vic. Now you can share your delicious baked goods with the heavenly hosts.
So many prayers and thoughts have been with Vic and his family. We met him years ago when we moved into an apartment on Emerson Street and he was our landlord. We were blessed to have him as our landlord. He was a real nice man. Some people touch your heart forever, and like so many of our dear beloved loved ones no longer with us, he will be missed and remembered always. May God bless him always and all of us who are blessed to have known him, Nancy Darling & Jerry Kase
