Hilton:  Thomas M. Hiebler:  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tom on Thursday, May 30th, 2024, at the age of 69. Predeceased by his parents Theodore and Ruth Hiebler, sister Annmarie, Brother Bill, brother in-law Steven Scipioni. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Denise. His son Eric, daughter Julie and son in-law Paul Knorr. His grandchildren Carlie, Jake, Luke, Hunter, sister Maryann Scipioni, brother in-law Gary Whitaker. His special aunt and godmother Ruth Greenwell, nieces and nephews. 

Tom worked in the auto industry for nearly 50 years. Tom was one of the most hardworking men. He had an amazing talent with his Chris Craft boats that he would restore. He loved to work on them and loved to take his family and friends out for rides on Lake Ontario. Tom had an incredible train exhibit that he built by hand. Anything that Tom would do he would give it his all with his hardwork and determination. Tom was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will truly be missed by all. 

Tom’s family will receive friends at 10:00 am on Sunday (June 30th) at the funeral home with the Memorial Service following on Sunday (June 30th) at 11:00 am at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road.  Private Interment.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Tom’s memory. This foundation was near and dear to his heart.

    We are so very sorry for the loss of such an amazing person. Tom was one of those guys who always made you feel welcomed, happy, and never failed to make you laugh with one of his jokes. We know how much Tom loved his family, our love, thoughts, and prayers are with you all.

    Tom was a gentle giant. I was lucky to have been able to work with him at Holtz.
    The would lost a wonderful man and Heaven has gained a boisterous Angel!

    Julie and Eric and of course the grandkids there are just no words that anyone can say when you lose a man father grandfather that makes it any easier wish I could take your pain away so so hard when it’s your father….. definitely will be thinking about everyone during this hard time…..

    I had the pleasure of working with Tom and providing him with his marine canvas and upholstery needs. As being only 1 of two people working in the middle of winter at Shumway’s (Tom being the other). We quickly became friends and closer to being family as time went on. He surely will be missed but his spirit will be never forgotten.
