Life will never feel the same without Uncle Tom’s amazing smile and warm laugh. The world has lost a presence that helped to make everything seem alright even when it wasn’t. I pray so hard for Aunt Ruth, Amy, Andy, Rudy, and the rest of the Gilberts who hurt now.

Our deepest sympathies for your loss. Tom was a wonderful man and good neighbor. We remember when he came over to help us put the bay window in. He must have seen how two DIY novices were having trouble with our project. That was the kind of man Tom was. He was always ready to help. It was our honor to know such a good man. Our prayers are with you Cathy and Mike Phelps

My brother was a man of faith, honest, hard working, someone you could count on, loved his family, and the world was a better place with him in it. I will always miss and love you, little brother. Thank you for being such a wonderful brother.

Ruth, Andy, and Amy, sorry to hear that Tom passed away. My prayers are with you in this time of need. Tom was a wonderful help with Boy Scout Troop 56 and with Andy’s progression though the boy scout rank advancement. I greatly appreciated his help with the troop. Tom will be missed by many. Dave Coulter also passes on his condolences.

I was so sorry to hear about Tom. I had the privilege of working with Tom for many years at Fulmer Const. The biggest thing about Tom is that he was a compassionate and honorable man, someone I respected. He blessed the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be sadly missed but we know that the day will come when we will see him again.

I am so sorry to hear about Tom’s passing. I had only seen Tom over the course of his lifetime, maybe 2 or 3 times. I wish that Ii had gotten to know him better as a first cousin! His Dad and my Mom were brother and sister. The last time that we met was at George & Dixie’s home in Erie, some twenty years ago. I do remember him as being a quiet but respectful man. I am sure that you all will miss him terribly and we send our deepest sympathies with Love and Prayers for the whole family. Sincerely, Bryan E. Armagost, Jean (wife), & Breanne (daughter).

Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out, even though you have only seen him but a few times in life. You are correct – he was a very quiet, but respectful man, filled with great amounts of knowledge and love for friends and family. My brother and I were there in Erie at the reunion, too – gosh, so long ago now. We miss my dad terribly and are especially saddened that we lost him earlier than we thought we would. God bless, and thank you again. -Amy (Kessler) Gilbert, Tom’s daughter
