My father was great man and father. We all are imperfect but one thing my father provided for his family well. He would help other family or friends whenever he could. My father was smart, a cool dad the one you want to drop you off to school. I appreciated you dad and will miss you so much. I look forward to your resurrection. I am happy you are not suffering no more. Sleep well daddy! Thank you Thank you to my Ma Step Mom Marsia Pena Mann and Nicky for your awesome care of my father.

Had the pleasure of working with Tom. Upbeat & gregarious, friend to all. He often spoke of his mother, whom he honored. It’s said that humor is the best medicine. Tom was a the best prescriber!

Tanya, your father was cool. Your father was a giant at our high school, West High. With a weightlifter build and a gentle demeanor he was a force to be reckoned with, although I can’t remember any physical confrontation ever. He just commanded respect, and gave respect always. As a skinny white boy with a big mouth I was always in trouble but for some reason Tommy liked me and that kept me from getting beat too much. We used to race slot cars together and even went to Syracuse for a meet. We picked up your dad at your grandmothers house and I still remember to this day how nice she was to me, wanting to make me breakfast. It was my first encounter with a black family and I instilled the idea in me that we are all the same no matter what. I joined the Marines in the fall of 1969 and never really returned to Rochester. I’m sorry that I never reached out to Tommy and now that he’s gone it’s too late but I want you and your whole family to know that he was always a wonderful person and well loved.
