Greece: Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, July 29, 2012. She is survived by her loving parents, Toby and Jennifer Edgecombe; brother, Connor Edgecombe; maternal grandparents, Paul and Susan Delibert; paternal grandparents, Ted and Pat Edgecombe; paternal great-grandmother, Ruth Edgecombe; aunts, Elizabeth and Christian Conrad, Ellen and Dr, Seth Lang; uncle, Todd and Stacy Edgecombe; cousins, Chase Edgecombe and Nina Lang; several great-aunts and great-uncles; her loving nanny Molly Saunders; loving relatives and many dear friends. The family extends a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Golisano Children’s Hospital for their care, compassion, and support. Friends may call Friday (Aug 3rd) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. Sydney’s Mass of the Angels will be celebrated Saturday 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester, NY 14615. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Unit 4-3600 – Golisano Children’s Hospital, 601 Elmwood Avenue Rochester, NY 14642 in her memory.

My daughter was a regular on 4-3600 for a long time, and I remember seeing the name. My daughter Madison Smith passed in january at the tender age of 4….please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time….Lean on each other and accept help, and take peace and comfort knowing you all have a special angel watching out for you…it doesnt bring them back or take the pain away, but you learn to live with this new normal….accept help when people offer….my deepest condolences and hugs to you all

Toby and Family, Six years ago you designed and built a beautiful terrace for us just before our son’s wedding, and just weeks before your own. To think of a tragedy of this magnitude befalling such a special young man and his loved ones is heartbreaking.
