Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute

Greece: Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the age of 79.  Predeceased by her parents, Wesley and Nancy Beadling; her husband, John; nephew, David Carafos. Survived by her devoted children, Kim Russi and Jeff (Julie) Russi; grandchildren, Cam Suplicki, Mason and Payton Lauber; brothers, Gary, David (Jan), Jack (Kathy) Beadling; sister Joan (George) Carafos; many loving family and dear friends.   Sue was a graduate of West Irondequoit High School. She worked at Kodak where she met her husband John and became a proud mother and grandmother. She volunteered for the Hilton School District helping in the classrooms when her children attended school there.  After John retired, they spent 20 years in Seneca, South Carolina.  She was a bargain shopper and loved to go to the flea market for her weekly shopping trip where she made many friends.  She put her shopping skills to work and took pride in helping support a shelter in South Carolina where they called her their “Fairy Godmother”.  Shelter residents would call when they were ready to move out and she would set them up from her “at home store” with many of the basics they needed.  Some of her favorite things were dark chocolate sponge candy, Coke or Coke Zero so don’t try to give her Pepsi. She loved her road trips to Maine with family and friends.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Susan’s Funeral Service will be celebrated Sunday, January 2, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the Chapel of Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s association or Our Daily Rest 525 E Main St, Seneca, SC 29678   in her memory.  For more information and to sign her online guestbook, visit www.meesonfamily.com

So saddened to hear of Sue’s passing. Condolences to Sue’s family. I have such fond memories of the times we were together in Hilton, her visits home from SC and long phone conversations. Sue contributed so much to the communities she lived in and will be missed by many.
