Steve was my friend a long time ago. We met in college at Niagara where we shared many things including opposition to the war in Vietnam. We also shared a basement apartment in Brooklyn in the home of Mike and Katy Ahern’s family. Steve was kind, generous, a moral giant of a man, but he was also a lot of fun. He had a joyous heart. Katy Ahern told me of his passing and I regret not finding him sooner. That was my loss. I can only imagine your grief. Please accept my condolences.

Our condolences are sent with heavy hearts to to all your family. Steve was so brave as he traveled on his final journey. After each visit I came home totally amazed at his faith and the strength it gave him as he faced his death. His parents gave him a wonderful gift called faith. We are proud to call him our cousin and will miss him so much. We had many fun memories of being teens together and also of spending Sunday’s at our Grandparents while growing up. May God Bless all of you and help to heal your hearts. Sending hugs and prayers. Rest in Peace cuz after fighting a courageous battle!

Our condolences to Steve’s relatives and all his friends. We will miss his kind heart, great conversations, wry humor, and the thoughtful little gifts he usually brought along to commemorate the visit. And when you left his company, you always left feeling better about yourself, a mark, I think, of his generous nature and kind soul. A true friend and cousin will be sorely missed.
