Smith, Stephen E. Greece: Loving husband of 36 years on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at age 65.  Stephen was predeceased by his father, Alfred “Billy” W. Smith He is survived by his mother, Veronica Linkletter Smith; his wife, Helen (Purcell) Smith; his son, Kenneth Smith; uncle, Vincent (Mary) Linkletter; brothers, Edward and Brian (Eileen) Smith; sisters, Janet (Larry) Smith-Robinson, Nancy (Alan) Skolnick, Joanne Smith-Rebholz, Marianne Smith; nieces & nephews, Carson (Camella) Smith, Taylor Smith, Daniel (Rosalie) Smith, Kaitlin Smith, Victoria (David) Irish, Kristen Smith, Andrew Rebholz, Katerina Robinson, Samantha Sexton, Allison Skolnick, Matthew Skolnick; several great nieces & nephews; immediate cousins, David (Laurie) Linkletter, Laurie (Rich) Watts, Wally Smith and many more Smith cousins; also including the Purcell 4 brothers & 5 sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; Special Friends, Pat & Steve Cox, Steve & Debbie Pflanz and Bob & Terri Kelterborn and all of those of Parma “MS Overcomers” Group and many dear Kodak friends. A special Thank You to Dr. Robert Agostinelli and Dr. Raj Grewal and to include all of the personnel, Nurses and Doctors from Lifetime Care Homecare Services, Rochester General Hospital, Strong Memorial Neurology & Urology Departments that cared for Steve over the years and to St. Mary’s Unity Living Center personnel who cared for Steve over the recent months. Stephen grew up in Hicksville, NY, graduated from Farmingdale College in Long Island, NY and later worked for Kodak Elmgrove Plant for 23 years. Stephen will always be remembered for his love of life, family & friends. “May the force be with us all” Friends may call Thursday July 20th 2-7 PM at Vay – Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Stephen’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday July 21st at 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 N. Greece Road, Greece, NY 14626.  Interment will be held in Syracuse, NY at a later date. A family gathering and Living Celebration will also be held in Long Island, NY at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions (Please indicate- “In Memory of Stephen E.     Steve was a good friend to Gary, even when it became difficult to be that friend. That says a lot!! His good humor helped to make the most of a tough situation and stay so engaged despite his physical limitations. He will be missed. I can imagine Steve and Gary continuing their ongoing Yankees ‘discussion’……
