Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute

Stephan Kurt Schmidt Stephan passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022, at age 83.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Edeltraut Schmidt; devoted sons, Kirk (Leslie) Schmidt and Eric (Melissia) Schmidt; adored grandchildren, Stephanie (Eric) Bruder and Derek (Danielle) Schmidt; loving siblings, Renate Attoma and Horst Schmidt. Stephan was born in Germany and left in 1961 with his wife, Edeltraut, with nothing more than a suitcase, to pursue his American dream.  With his determination and hard work, he established his own company and founded Micron Industries in 1972 and worked until his retirement in 2018.  Through the years, he enjoyed relaxing and hunting at their camp and enjoyed spending time with his family at their lake cottage.  Stephan provided his family with a warm home and all the necessities to succeed in life.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Stephan’s services will be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wilmot Cancer Center in his memory.  For more information and to sign his online guestbook, visit www.meesonfamily.com
