December 9, 1986 – May 17, 2025

Jason Weidenkeller, age 38, passed away leaving behind a legacy of strength, service, and steadfast love. Born on December 9, 1986, Jason dedicated much of his life to serving others. He spent time in Korea teaching English, he traveled to many places, he was constantly wanting to be greater. Jason also served his country with honor in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant.. Throughout his military career, he earned numerous awards and commendations, not only for his excellence but also for his unwavering commitment to those around him.

Jason was more than a dedicated airman — he was a mentor, a leader, and a source of encouragement to all who knew him. He was known for his disciplined spirit, positive outlook, and deep sense of responsibility. His support lifted others, and his strength made him a steady presence in uncertain times.

Jason is preceded in death by his father, Edward Weidenkeller. He is survived by his loving wife, Ashley Weidenkeller; his mother, Bonnie Weidenkeller; his sister, Katie Weidenkeller and her husband Matt; and his cherished nieces, Addy and Olivia. Each of them carries forward his memory with pride and love.

Jason’s impact will continue to be felt in the lives of those he mentored, served with, and held close. He was strong — not just in body, but in spirit, in heart, and in the way he showed up for others, again and again.

His life was a testament to service, love, and enduring strength. He will be missed deeply and remembered always.

Friends may call Friday (May 30th) 4-7pm at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral service will be held Saturday (May 31st) at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in his memory.

Meet your brother in college, he was my first bro/dude/ straight male friend. Sounds cheesy I know lol but he was the first to show me how not to give a fcuk about others opinions and to just go for it because he was so cool and confident. He did lose touch at one point after the passing of your dad and him returning from South Korea, however when we reunited he had grow into a good man who I continued to amaze for his amazing achievements. He will be missed, deepest condolences.

I respectfully pray for the repose of the deceased. I remembered he loved listening to songs of Bigbang while driving. And he was a warm hearted person who never walked past person in need he came across on the streets. As one of his friends he will be missed. I will pray for him and his family here in Korea. 삼가 고인의 명복을 빕니다. 좋은 곳에서 편히 쉬시길 바랍니다. 그의 가족들이 힘든 시기를 잘 이겨내길 진심으로 바랍니다.

I served with Weidenkeller in USAF. Went through Lackland together. He was always so positive, driven, happy, and uplifting. Hard not to smile when he’s around.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Jason was a hero and solid Airmen in my eyes. I got the opportunity to lead him but in many facets he led me. He was so driven, calm, and focused it was inspiring. I wished I was as in shape as he was. I know his battle tore him up not being as fit as he once was but that doesn’t take away from how hard he fought because I know it was hard as hell. Jason. Love you brother. See you on the other side.

My heartfelt and deepest condolences to you Bonnie and Katie. You all were such a large part of my childhood upbringing. Bonnie you were like a second mother, and Jason, my best friend, the brother I never had. I regularly tell my sons stories of the adventures we used to have, riding bikes through our neighborhood and trails, skateboarding, paintball guns, finding snakes, frogs, spiders, making tree forts in the woodpile and behind our houses, and playing SOCOM online into the early morning hours after I moved away. Mischievous boyhood memories that we shared together and I will always cherish. I hope my boys have the chance for the same friendship and memories.
Though we lost touch after high school, I was able to reconnect with him once in Seoul. It was a night to remember. Both of us on our own journeys in life, but it was like no time had passed at all.
It is no surprise that he made his way into the Air Force and served honorably, and impacted so many along the way.

Jason was such a large part of shaping me into who I am, and I hope in some way I helped him as well.

    To Jae,
I love and will miss you. I pray for the repose of your soul. Rest in peace brother.

    Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other, That, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes, we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
    There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you.
    For an interval.
    Somewhere. Very near.
    Just around the corner.
    All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before, only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be one together with Christ.

I’m so sorry to Andrew’s family. I worked with his father Ed and his mother Bonnie at Kodak. I remember when Andrew and later his sister were born. Ed and I would sit in the breakroom on our lunch time at 3 AM and Ed just gusted over his children. I loved hearing their the happeness both Ed and Bonnie had, it made me feel good.
    Rest in peace young man.

Jaemin – you ran the race so well. Your light shines forever now in Heaven. You’re an inspiration to us all. A great heart, kind soul and awesome team-mate. I look forward to seeing you again someday. Your pain and troubles are over now and you received ‘Well done, good and faithful servant’. It’s for the rest of us now, to continue to run well so that we reunite together someday with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

My heartfelt sorrow, sympathy and prayers for your family because the loss of your presence on earth is felt by everyone who knew you. While we’re on earth temporarily , losing your presence here cuts deep which shows what an impact you made on everyone. God Bless and Keep you and yours, Jaemin.
