Sofia Primakov was a strong, courageous and joyful spirit who was a devoted wife and proud mother of 13 children. She loved God, her family and everyone she met. Sofia is the daughter of Gregory and Bronislava Yankovski, pre-deceased by husband Richard Primakov of 47 years, and survived by her 13 children, 6 sons and 7 daughters: Peter (Ludmila) Primakov, Nina (John) Palermo, Ivan Primakov, Svetlana (Neeraj) Wadhera, Alex Primakov, Richard Primakov Jr, Luba Primakov, Roza Primakov, Nadia (Brandon) Primakov, Pavel Primakov, Lydia Primakov, Zoya Primakov and Stephan Primakov. Her grandchildren include Victoria, Isaac, Angelina, Diana, Elizabeth and Mark Primakov; Lilliana and Liam Palermo; Ethan and Leon Wadhera; Aloysha and Zoya Primakov. She is survived by her brother Ivan Yankovski (and family), sister Svetlana Komar (and family), and pre-deceased by siblings Valya, Peter and Stephan Yankovski. All of her children are forever indebted to her for her faithfulness, courage, and undying devotion to them. Until we meet again, we will remember her love and huge heart towards all of us!! Those who wish to do so may make a donation in Sofia’s memory to Greece Assembly of God, 750 Long Pond Road Rochester, NY 14612. Through their mission outreach, this church had sponsored the Primakov family when they entered the US on December 13, 1988 and continued to be a beacon of support and love to the family as they settled into their new home. Sofia would be delighted to know that in her celebration of life, other families in need would be similarly helped.
So sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers going to your family.
I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of Zoya. Even though it’s been close to 20 years since I’ve seen her, I remember her exuberance and kindness. God Bless your family as you wrestle with the loss of both Richard and Zoya
Dear Primakov family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your parents. They were good people and role models. It was an honor to have met them.
Hi, this is Zoya P. Lynd, I just want to say that I loved my grandma to death: Sophia Primakov.
P.S. you spelled a few names wrong; Ludmila is supposed to be “Ludaâ€, and Roza is supposed to be “Rosaliaâ€.
