Shirley V. Sculli Greece: known for her courage in standing up for what she believed in and valued by her local communities, peacefully passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 97. Born on March 30, 1927, Shirley’s life was defined by meaningful accomplishments and her steadfast devotion to her family and community causes. She was a trailblazer as the first woman in New York State to obtain a used car auto dealership license, advocating for women’s representation in traditionally male-dominated fields. Shirley’s impact extended beyond her professional achievements. In her Florida residence at West View Ridge in Haines City, she was a community leader, organizing local events and fundraising efforts that brought people together. Alongside her late husband Patrick Sculli, she played vital roles as board members for the Sons of Italy in Rochester, NY, contributing to the enrichment of Italian-American culture and community. Shirley also cherished exploring the world through numerous cruises with her beloved husband Patrick, indulging in their shared passion for travel. Despite societal norms at the time, Shirley fearlessly voiced her opinions, embodying strength and resilience, her outspoken nature during a time of societal change exemplified her courage and determination. Shirley leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. She was the devoted mother of six children: Bruce C. Bobby, Wayne Bobby, Charles Spade, Donna Milner, Carol Ann Bobby, Mark A. Spade, Scott R. Spade, and, Among them, Mark, Scott, and Donna remain to honor her memory. Shirley was also a cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren: Brenda Bobby, Kristin Spade, Steven Spade, Shelby Spade, Brittany Spade, Cody Spade and the late Brody Spade. Her family and friends will fondly remember Shirley for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support. While her presence will be deeply missed, her love will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her. As per Shirley’s wishes, services will be private and reserved for close family members. May Shirley rest in eternal peace, her spirit forever guiding those she touched.
