Herman Family; Our Condolences to you all on the loss of Aunt Shirley. She will be always remembered in our hearts as a fun loving woman that enjoyed golfing and being with the Herman Family and all that were visiting! May you rest in peace Aunt Shirley and watch over us all!
I am a friend of Jim’s and I only remember meeting his Aunt Shirley a couple of times many years ago. What I remember most about her was her kind demeanor and how very pleasant she was. I am sure she will be greatly missed and my sincere regrets I could not make it in person to her service. I know she meant an awful lot to Jim and to you all I am sure, my condolences to your entire family.
I knew Shirley Herman as a kind and loving employee of the Eastman Kodak Company. I am very sad to hear of her death. My dad, William K. Pedersen (1928-2009), was Assistant Vice President and Director of Advertising for Eastman Kodak and he was blessed to have Shirley Herman as his Executive Secretary. She was a wonderful woman, embracing all of our family. I know my dad relied on her totally. On rare occasions, I went to work with him and was able to visit with Shirley, who always had a friendly disposition and kind words. She never looked harried, no matter what was going on around her. I spoke with her by phone often, calling from home and, in later years, college, and other states in the country as I moved around. It was always like calling a friend. May she receive God’s full blessings.
I was a former teacher at Mercy High and also a Mercy graduate, Class of ’44. Shirley was a class behind me and I knew her well. My deep sympathy and prayers. Sister Elaine Kolesnik, RSM.
Love and miss you. May you spend your times with grandma and grampa herman, chris and bella and may we see you again.
We will always love and remember our Auntie Shirley. Until we see each other again, Sleep tight and restful.
Worked for many years at Kodak Main Office the same time as did Shirley–during the good days of EK. Also played in a girls’ golf league with her. She was always a very friendly person and had a good sense of humor.
