Dear Aunt Shirley, Although through the years we didn’t see very much of each other, I always thought about you and how special you were to me when we were growing up. It is a happy thought to know that you and your entire familly are once again re-united in God’s loving care. Love, Chris and Jeff

Dear Family, I was so sorry to read of the death of my dear mentor, Shirley. I knew Shirley beginning in 1978 when I came to work for the RCSD. She was my mentor and friend. She called me ‘sprout’ and was kind and patient while I learned the specifics of my very first job with the district. I will miss Shirley’s hearty laugh and her special ways. I feel priviledged to know her and count her as a friend during our years together at the school district. My condolences to all the family. Shirley loved all of you very much and your well being was always uppermost in her thoughts. With Sincere Sympathy, Linda Thines

I was deeply saddened at the news of Shirley’s passing. We were cousins and lived close to each other when we were children. I still have a picture of Shirley when she baby sat me when I was a baby. Shirley was a fun-loving gal with a hearty laugh and I always enjoyed being in her company. My prayers go out to her and her family. Remember all of the good days you enjoyed with her and be thankful that she suffers no longer. A special thanks goes to Debi for keeping me informed about Shirley. Dolores Casilio

Shirley and I worked together in the Dept. of Planning and Research at the RCSD from Sept. 1965 through Dec. 1969. We were co-workers, but also friends spending many an afterwork hour or so discussing not only the events of the day, but various personal matters as well. She gave me a pair of pearl earrings one time for no particular reason other than she thought I might like them, which I did. I still wear them occasionally and always think of her when I do. Now they will have even more special meaning. My sincere condolences to her children and extended family.
