Sandra K. Simmons-Bartholomay "Sam" "Sandy"
May 5, 2023 at age 80 went home to be with parents, Buck and Beulah Fowler, her first husband, William Simmons and her second husband, Kenneth Bartholomay; siblings, Phyllis (William) Brinklow and Eugen (MaryLou) Fowler. Survived by her children, Margaret (Michael) Axon, Paul Simmons, Donna (Francis) Tricamo, John (Sheila) Bartholomay, Michael Bartholomay, Mark Bartholomay, Kenneth Bartholomay and Robert (Patti) Bartholomay; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Dianna (Carl) King; many nieces and nephews; dear friends.
Sandra was a Registered Nurse and worked for Highland Hospital, Lifetime Health and Excellus. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and loved spending quality time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Sandra’s visitation will be held Thursday, May 11th 4 PM -7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 12th, 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Church. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Friendly Home of Rochester in her memory. Sandy was the Manager at the Greece Center while I was at Folsom Center. She was always calm and was a wealth of information and good advice.
