Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute

Greece: Saturday November 23, 2024 suddenly, Sandy went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was pre-deceased by her parents Fred & Pauline, and her sons Michael & Gregory. Sandy is survived by her husband Michael and by her children; Kimberly (Michael) Chatwin, Amanda (Gregory) Cooper, Nicole and Christopher, by her grandchildren; Adam, Christopher & Andrew Chatwin and Abriana Cooper, as well as her siblings; James (Peggy) Freemesser, Winifred (Richard) Franklin, Jacquelyn (Dale) Speck and several nieces and nephews. Sandy was a strong woman of faith, and her family came primarily only second to God. Sandy spent 50+ years as a foster mother for over 400 individuals including medically fragile babies. Sandy’s favorite time of the year was Christmas. She made Christmas larger than life for everyone. Each year Sandy would bless someone in need by showering them with gifts, food, and love. She always puts others ahead of herself by helping those less fortunate. She would give them the shirt off her back. The family wants to celebrate Sandra by making the funeral Christmas theme and are inviting everyone to wear your favorite or best Christmas outfit.

Sandra’s visitation will be held Saturday, (Nov 30th) 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM where her service will be held at 11:00 AM at Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 855 Long Pond Road.  Private interment, Grove Place Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heritage Christian Services, School of the Holy Childhood or Hope Hall School in her memory.

Sandy loved her family and was the strong center of it. And on any occasion I was with them she always made me feel like part of her family. I am so glad I saw her recently. We all know where she is now! God bless you Sandy. I’ll always remember you.

Sandy was a beautiful soul, her love for the Lord was strong. I was blessed to know her and Michael. She will be missed here on earth, but God gained a beautiful soul in heaven.

We are so sorry for the passing of Sandy. She was a remarkable lady and gave so much love to others. I remember spending time at your house learning how to care for infants and babysitting Kim and Gregory. So grateful to have known her and your family. You are all in our prayers❤️

I am so sorry for your loss! Sandy was our savior when Gabriella went into foster care for a year. It was a devastating time for our family and our only saving grace was that Gabby was with Sandy (and family)! Sandy was so kind, caring and loving and did so much for so many. I am deeply saddened by your loss and you all have my deepest sympathy. God Bless you all.

The world has lost a savior of newborns in need of loving care, while heaven has gained a new guardian angel. Sandy gave so much of herself for others, supporting many of us through the toughest of life’s struggles. She will always hold a special place in my heart and was truly the best neighbor I ever had. My deepest condolences to Mike and all the family.
