Greece: Sunday, March 15, 2015 at age 82. Predeceased by his daughter, Maria. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Emilia; sons, Carmine (Sandra), Mauro (Sherry) and Pasquale Petrella; grandchildren, Christina, Michael (Jennifer), Nicole, Maria, Nicholas, Anthony, Amanda (Aaron) Petrella Christ, Joseph and Salvatore Petrella; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Salvatore was born in Pratola Peligna, Italy in 1932. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Salvatore’s visitation will be held, Tuesday, (TODAY), 4-8 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 18th, 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 N. Greece Road. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Dear Aunt Emilia and Cousins,
We are deeply saddened by Uncle Sam’s passing and though we are far…we are with you in spirit. Our memories of Sam have always been happy ones. He frequently reminisced about his life in Italy and his marriage to lovely Emilia. Sam spoke so graciously of his children, their spouses and grandchildren with gratitude for all they do for he and his wife. Our love and condolences to all.
