Meli, Jr., Salvatore L. Greece:  Surrounded by his children, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at age 84.  Predeceased by his wife, Joyce L. Meli; his parents; his brothers and sisters.  Survived by his children, David Meli, Debra Meli; Donna (Dan) Mangefrida, Tante (Larry Bentley), Gino Meli (Sava); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; loving relatives and close friends.  Sal was a past member of the New York Guard and Past Chief of the Evans-Angola Fire Department.  The family wishes to thank the staff at Wilmot Cancer Center, The Shepard Home and Lifetime Care for the great care given to Sal.  Friends may call Saturday (June 3rd) 9-12 PM at Vay – Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, where his Funeral Service will follow calling Saturday 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel.  Private interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Shepard’s Home, 1959 Five Mile Line Road, Penfield, NY 14526 in his memory.  For more information or to sign Sal’s online guestbook, please visit Meesonfamily.com.

    Sincere condolences from the Tanski family in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was a pleasure meeting and spending time with Sal. Brief as it was, he warmed our hearts as well as our Grandmother, Dorothy Tanski’s during his time at the wonderful Shepard Home.
