Greece: Saturday, September 6, 2008. Predeceased by his 5 brothers and 1 sister. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Susan Brongo; sister-in-laws, Gilda (Sam) Latone, Ann (Robert) Prince, Helen Brongo, Gemma Brongo; many nieces and nephews; many great- nieces and great-nephews. Salvatore was an Army Veteran of World War II where he received two Purple Hearts. He loved golfing and gardening. Salvatore was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Church in his memory.

    Always remembering my visits to Uncle Sal’s when I was a child and how he and Aunt Sue checked on my daughters and invited them for dinner when at RIT. He was one of their angels. Missing you, Uncle Sal!
