Ruth M. Radtke

Radtke, Ruth M., (Merry) Rochester: Passed peacefully on August 12, 2016 at age 90. Predeceased by parents Francis and Mary Merry; husband Paul Radtke and loving devoted friend Ed Connell; brothers, Raymond, Alfred and Paul; sisters Pearl, Madeline, Alice, Helen and Pauline. Survived by; sister in law, Sylvia Merry; several nieces and nephews and many good friends especially dear friends Marty Yawman, Rick Connell and Krissy and Walt Kaminski. Ruth was a graduate of Scio High School and worked for over 40 years for Kodak. She was a member of the Holy Cross Church in Rochester. Ruth was a sweet, kind and gentle soul who brought a smile to everyone who knew her and loved her dearly. . Ruth loved her family with a passion! She never missed a birthday card stuffed with a two dollar bill. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and wintering with Ed at Myrtle Beach. She was a long time supporter of the Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may choose to make contributions to Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse Historical Society in her memory. Ruth was cared for by the loving folks of the Episcopal Church Home; Fleming Point; Brockport Landing; and The Village at Unity. She will be missed by all who knew her. No prior calling. Her Prayer Service will be held Friday (August 26th) 10:00 AM in the Christ Our Light Mausoleum of Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday (Sept 9th) 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, Scio, NY. Interment, Knights Creek Cemetery.
