My heart goes out
to you at this difficult time. May you find comfort from the promises made by
our loving Father. Psalm 34:18 says he is near to those broken at heart and
saves those crushed in spirit. Revelation 21:4 mentions a time when He will
wipe all our tears away and death and sorrow and pain will be no more. May these
thoughts from the Bible bring you hope.
Russ Barone was my mentor and is the reason I own a bicycle shop today. He was a remarkable man that was always willing to help. One memory I have was when he pulled up his sleeves on his pure white dress shirt and helped me rebuild my bearings on my Schwinn Sting that he sold me. And that was at a summer party. Just the kind of guy he was. I have thought of him many times over the years and I am fortunate to say that he stopped by to see me occasionally. I will me miss him but cherish the memories that I have of him.
Sorry to hear. My friends and I would ride our 20′ BMX bikes from Hilton to his bike shop on Lake Ave regularly. Russ rewarded us by sponsoring us at the local track
on Sunday, and we were proud to represent such a fine bike shop. He was also instrumental in getting me a more serious sponsorship with a bigger team, and I eventually won a National Championship. His confidence in me inspired confidence in myself, and I still have it. Thank you sir, RIP.
Uncle Russ was an important part of my childhood. Loved him tremendously. — Steve Muratore, Tempe/Scottsdale, AZ.
Having recently learned of the loss of your loved one I extend my deepest sympathy to you. During this difficult time I wanted to share the hope found in the Bible, the hope of the resurrection. Jesus stated at John 5:28,29 ‘The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus] voice and come out.’ And at Revelation 21:3,4 it states that there will be a time when ‘death will be no more.’ These scriptures give us hope for the future as respects to our dead loved ones. Those scriptures have brought comfort to me and my family and I hope it does the same for your family. Sorry for your loss.
