To the Chugg family….Roy was a great guy and a loyal member of the Greece Ridge family. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Roy was a good friend. I enjoyed talkingto him about his rural upbringing and his love a cold glass of milk.
Carol and family, Our hearts go out to you! You are in our prayers.
I can still see his green RG&E backed up in their driveway from my home across the street. Every so often he’s take off on a fire call. He was a great 1st Responder before they coined the term. I came home about 10 years after leaving and needed some tools to blacktop Mom’s driveway. Mr Chugg to the rescue ! A nice man and so very helpful to us all on Ridgewood.
I remember seeing Roy (and Carol) at my Aunt Helen and Uncle Albert DeConinck’s. May he rest in peace.
On behalf of the Monroe County Volunteer Fire Police Association, I wish to express our sympathy to the family of Roy Chugg. He was a very active volunteer firefighter and fire police. Even though he may not have been physically active in his later years, he still stayed involved, and enjoyed coming to meetings so he could talk with his buddies. As the daughter of a volunteer myself, I can attest that Roy’s family is full of pride in witnessing the great example Roy gave of a life well-lived.

Roy was a great neighbor and friend to the Gardner’s who lived next door since 1958. Was always there to help in anyway, God Bless you Roy
My heart goes out to Mrs. Chugg, Tom, and Linda. As a next door neighbor, I remember you as a nice family. I loved the addition on the back of your house and thought you lived in a small mansion. 😉 When we built our home 35 years ago, We had Mr Chugg put our electric in. We knew he would do a great job. 12 years ago, I used to clean Mayard’s Electric. Mr and Mrs Chugg would come in every once in a while and I got to say hi. Great memories.
