Dearest Tina and family. I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of Roger. I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting him, but I do know that he was one fantastic man. My mom knew him and said she always liked Roger. You’ve been through a long haul with his illness and although it doesn’t make things easier, he’s in a wonderful place now and he’ll be looking down on you and his family protecting you. He’ll be with you always Tina, and his kids in heart and soul. He’s visiting with those that we have all lost over the years. I hope he finds my mom, knowing that she thought a lot of him. Prayers sent your way.

My Dear Cousin Tina, It was with great sadness that Kathy and I learned of Roger’s passing. I know you have been through hell and back over the past years but with the grace of God you and Roger can now find peace. As with the passing of anyone so loved it is hard to say goodbye but now you have all the great memories of time spent with him and you can revisit those and smile. As in a very old letter written back in the 1860’s from another man facing death I know Roger would say the same. ‘ Don’t think of me gone, know that I am with you every day and when the gentle breeze passes by know that it whisper’s your name.’ ……. Roger was a wonderful man… Love, Cousin Eddie and Kathy….

Tina, Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. I will always remember the fun times we had living across the street from each other. I always enjoyed talking golf with Roger . He also had the most perfect lines in his lawn when mowing. He took great pride in his lawn. I know his illness was hard on all, but I admire the love and care you gave Roger during his illness. I hope in time you will find peace within yourself for all you have done, and realize Roger would not have wanted anyone by his side but you. God Bless you and your family. Daniel and Marcella Polle’

Uncle Roger is in God’s hands now. Playing endless holes of golf with grandpa gartz. Lesson learned…life’s too short…live everyday as if it is your last…and for that…I thank you uncle Roger. Rest easy buddy.

Tina: I am so sorry to learn of Roger’s death. I worked with Roger for a number of years at Sears (Dealer/Hometown Stores) and want to tell you he was a first class executive who I was proud to work with. He was respected by his store owners, his peers and senior management. He did an excellent job and I consider him a friend.

May God Bless you and your family.
