Bob was a very special friend to me since my dad died in 06. Those two where always making us laugh. Bob helped me continue on with the auxiliary and took my dads place. I crewed with him every weekend I could. He was a great leader, teacher and friend. We had many good times out on the water and assited many a wayard boater. Eileen, Bob and I also had many good times at the meetings and conferences. I could always count on Bob to text me during meetings with something silly. ‘What do you see on the horizon? Why do the white gulls call? Across the sea a pale moon rises. The ships have come to carry you home. And all will turn to silver glass. A light on the water. All souls pass’ Annie Lennox. Aross the bridge they are waiting for you Bob. God speed until we meet again. –Heather Ladue
The passing of my best friend,Bob Drost was a very sad experience for me. Bob was one of my everyday friends that I had coffee with, he had a addiction for raspberry donuts at Tim Horton’s! He was also a member of the Coast Guard Aux. as was I and we had many good times on the water.I am going to miss him at my shoulder, but he will always be in my thoughts. As he enters safe harbor in the hands of our Lord free of pain forever I can only pray for him and his family eternal peace AMEN!
I was Bob’s Patient Care Tech at Strong and I heard the news about his pasting and was very sad for your lost. I wanted to pay my respect. Bob was a great guy he always made me smile even on days where he was going down to the OR and he was nervous he made time to joke with us ( nurses and tech ) he was a great guy and he will be miss by all of us the staff 53400
