Suddenly Monday, May 21, 2007 at age 52. Survived by his loving family, Colleen, Evan, Caitlin and Nathan; his parents, Robert E. and Rose(LePore)Sutorius; his brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Patricia; his sister, Barbara Sauer; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road Saturday from 10-12, followed by his Funeral Service at 12 Noon in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make contributions to Camp Good Days and Special Times or to a charity of your choice in Bob’s memory.
Although I didn’t see Bob since he attended my 50th birthday party, it brought back memories of our high school days. It is tragic that he will be unable to enjoy his golden years…he will be sorely missed.
Bob and I started with Moen at the same time and were roommates during our new hire training. Please accept my condolences for your loss. Bob will truly be missed.
Bob is my very best friend. Throughout the many years we have been friends, he called me almost every day (many times to get together for lunch or dinner)and we supported each other through all the good and bad times. He always talked about his wonderful kids and how proud he was of them. They were always first in his life. I know I will miss him terribly and will cherish our wonderful friendship the rest of my life.
Bob was a Beautiful Person – I am truely going to miss him. My heart and prayers go out to his family.
Bob was a great person who will be missed by many people. I will miss his smile and the laughter that he brought into VP Supply on a regular basis. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
Bob was a very special friend to me over the years i have known him. He could always make me laugh. He love his children and i know he will be missed by many. my prayers are with the family at this time of sorrow. I will remember his smile and the way he made people laugh with his jokes.
Bob was my roomate throughout college at Niagara University. and I was fortunate to have such a great friend. I had never met a person with such joy and enthusiasm for life, and only rarely have since. He could be intense and philosophical, funny and witty, or kind and generous in ways that were truly remarkable. I could always count on Bob to bring levity when it was most needed, to cheer me on, or keep me grounded. He did that for everyone around him. However, no one was spared from the truth either. Bob just seemed to have a natural way of delivering it in a lighthearted manner that always left you smiling. Or maybe in side splitting laughter. Of all the things I wish I could thank him for, that one is the tops. To his family, my sincere sympathy.

Colleen, Evan, Caitlin, and Nathan, Please find comfort in knowing how much your Dad loves you, he never stopped talking about you and was ever so proud of you. Bob was such a special person…I’ve met you over the yrs as he would bring you in when I was bartending (The Flipside) in between my flying. It was always a treat if he’d stop in while on his nightly run. His sense of humor will always be with me. We ran in the many of the same crowds and he counseled me through many lifes difficulties. (including my own fathers passing) I am honored to call Bob my friend. He will be missed. God Bless and my prayers are with you all.
Colleen, Evan, Caitlin, and Nathan, My memories of Bob as such a vibrant, outgoing person make this loss, at all-too young, especially shocking and painful. My heart aches for all of you, as I know how missed he will be. I hope your memories will give you comfort, knowing how proud he was of each of you and how deeply he loved you! Dear Bob’s Family, We are friends of Kates Hathaway, which is how we met Bob. We are all shocked and saddened by his passing. Please know that we thought he was a great guy, easy to talk to and a lot of fun. We would see him at our group picnics and really enjoyed his company. He will be missed. Dear Evan, Caitlin & Nate – Bob was so proud of you. We talked about our children constantly. Nate, my daughter Colette is about the same age as you. We were over years ago and grilled out while you ‘kids’ played a video game. I’ve loved listening over the years to Bob talk about all of you. The changes you’ve gone through over the years and all the funny (probably embarrassing to you!) stories. Even though none of you may remember me – I feel close because of Bob and the years of talking to him about all of you. Your Father loved you so much. I am so sorry for your loss. Shaun

I am really going to miss Bob. He was truely a very good friend to me and a pleasure to work with over the years. I am so sorry for your loss, it is hard to beleive a guy that is so outgoing and animated is truely resting. I have had the pleasure of working with Bob over the past few years. Bob also helped my wife and I with building our past two homes. I am so very, very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing!! I just ran with him last week, I cannot believe this has happened!!! My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I also pray that Bob is at peace!!!
I am sorry to learn about Bob’s passing. We were friends. We used to run together, hang out at Johnny’s and have even set a couple of runs together for our friends from his house on Fallstaff. I liked Bob a lot and my thoughts are with you, his family.

I have known Bob since I started in the plumbing and heating industry 21 years ago. He always teased me about watching me grow up as I was 19 when I started. Company baseball outings and cookouts will not be the same without him. He will be missed by all in the industry.
I met and spoke with Bob several times during national sales meetings. He truly was a delight to speak with. I am very sorry for your loss.
I remember the good times we had playing together in the Power Company. You could always tell he enjoyed life through his humor and that great smile he always wore. Even though I haven’t seen him in a while, I could still remember his laugh. I’ll miss him……
I was a friend of Bob’s at Niagara University. So many very good times to be remembered. From a road trip to Fredonia in the ’55 Ford wagon to just hanging around and talking about music and life. Usually with a few Cream Ales. When visiting Bob one summer, he remembered my interest in history and was thoughtful enough to take me to Boxart St. to view the massive B&O coal dock. Thanks, Bob. I was deeply saddened when I saw the obituary for Bob. I have known the Sutorius family since the 1950s, when our family moved to 48 Sutorius Drive. My thoughts are with you – Sincerely, Richard Wersinger
I will miss Bob’s humor and friendship but will always remember the races and casual runs that we completed together. Whenever I returned to Rochester for a visit it was more enjoyable when I was able to get together with Bob. Everyone will be in our thoughts and prayers.

It is never easy to see the name of a peer, friend and high school alum in the dreaded area of the newspaper. The last time I saw Bob was at Johnny’s Smoke Free Barr, it was the first time since one of the class, I was training for my first Marathon in Honolulu, he was there after a run, we both laughed at the idea that I could run a marathon. Although, he was supportive. Even in our ‘Mooney Days’ he was a good friend, we were a select group,Palozzi, Sheedy, Kelly, Prinzi, Sayer, Simmons Sutorious…we hung out, we were friends, we grew into our own lives, but we never forgot each other, and when I saw him in that bar, it was if we picked up from the last time we hung out. Bob…not sure why you left us so soon, but you must know that you will be missed, and some day we will all hang out again. My deepest sympathy to your family.

Nate, Caitlin, and Evan- I was friends with your dad for many years, never once did we have a conversation that he did not brag about you! He loved you and was extremely proud of you. He will be missed by MANY!

To Bob’s family may God be with all of you during this time of sorrow and deep loss. The shock of all of this is beyond words. Although I have never met Bob’s family or his Children, he spoke about all of you, and how wonderful and acomplished you all are. To the daughter that just graduated from Allegheny College, your Dad and I talked about you a ton. I grew up in Meadville, we called your Dad Meadville Bob. We were shocked and saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. Bob was one of those ‘larger than life’ persons who lived life to the fullest–so much fun, so genuine and very kind!! You always knew when Bob entered the room…his presence will be missed. He spoke often and with great pride of his children. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
When you lose someone you love so quickly, the heartache can be so overwhelming. As time passes, the ached subsides and Bob’s memories will fill the void the heart is looking for. It’s the healing process for all. When I met Bob, it was his smile that I saw first. As I got to know him, his zest for life were-his children, friends, running and the good old drums-that-I realized was what made that smile so bright. Bob knew so many and will be missed by all.
