Dearest Rita, Brownlee and I are so heartbroken to hear of Bob’s passing. He was such a wonderful teddy bear of a man! I agree with many who have posted here that he was easily one of the best managers I ever worked for in my 28 years at Kodak: knowledgeable, supportive, empathetic with a great sense of humor. I’ll ever forget his grin, and I’ll never forget him and how perfect you two were for each other. Stay strong and know that you’re in our thoughts. Sending many virtual hugs, Kim

Rita, We are so sorry to hear about Bob. There are so many great things we could say about Bob starting with working with him way back in Glass Plate Manufacturing in Building 49 at Kodak. The last being the Super Bowl party at your house this year. There are so many golf and party stories that Bob was a big part of. It was an honor to be both his partner and opponent in golf over the years and we always had fun. He was a great guy and will be missed by all the people who knew him. Tom and Bobbie

Just a great human being. I knew him well in high school and continued to follow him through the years. All of us will deeply miss him. I am sure he rests in peace. We are spreading the information in Cleveland so all that knew him will have the opportunity to remember him and recall happy memories when he was part of our lives.

I’ve thought of Bob many times over the years after Xavier. But, alas, did not have contact. We got through together as physics majors. Somehow, Bob managed football AND physics. John Hart, the Physics Chair, kept up an intense pace, and didn’t believe in giving an "A" except for performance way way across the right side of the Bell Curve. Bob’s stick-to-it-ivity was admirable, coming to class looking very tired, but always hanging on, pleasantly. Bob was a skinny end at Ignatius, but bulked up to be a lineman at X. As the two Xavier physics majors from Cleveland, sometimes Bob would come over in the summer and we would pool our brains working Feyman’s physics problems. Bob was very courteous to my mom. ….. Another angel got his wings. ………………. Mike G.
