Smith, Robert D. Prattsburgh, Conesus Lake, Greece: Tuesday July 24, 2012, just two months shy of his 60th birthday, due to a motorcycle accident. Predeceased by his parents Bob & Betty Smith. Survived by his ‘little brother’ Randy ((Julie) Smith. He was beloved Uncle Rob to his niece and nephew, Nicole & Shane Smith; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Rob was a free spirit. He grew up in Greece.Rob was a Disabled Vietnam Veteran of the United States Navy, a survivor of cancer from agent orange, and recipient of the purple heart. He loved his family, friends, dogs and his motorcycles. He will be greatly missed.Friends may call Monday (July 30th) 4-6 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Rochester NY 14626. His Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel of the funeral home at 6:00 PM. Interment will be held privately. Contributions may be made to Disabled Veterans National Foundation (www.dvnf.org) in his memory.

Growing up with Rob Smith was a unique experience.Memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life. He was a great kid.Sometimes misunderstude but we all were in those times. He was alway’s a hellava lot of fun to say the least.. Spending summers at his parents cottage at the lake.Learning how to swim,water ski behind his fathers boat.The bomb fires on the beach at night come to mind,ghost story’s his mother my aunt Betty was so famous for telling. Rob will be saddley missed bye his loving family and friends.He truly was one of a kind..
I had the pleasure of sharing a beer with you just last week while visiting with some of your good friends. You shared some of your interesting stories and we had a lot of good laughs. Chuckles and Sluggo were great fun and im sure they will always remember your loving care. I know I will never forget your great spirit and your outlook on life. You will be greatly missed by many. My prayers go out to the family.

Rob you touched my heart & that will will never end. I miss you soooo much. My heart breaks to see you & hear your stories..RIP my very dear friend..You were loved by my whole family…Ali will miss teaching you to ride Cowboy. I will miss you everyday. Rob, you were one of the coolest and toughest Dudes we ever met! We had a lot of good times that will NEVER be forgotten. You made Lakeville way more exciting and fun for us and we will always remember our ‘Uncle Rob’ (We were the ones who gave you that name, remember? hahaha) You are forever in our hearts and minds.
