I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.’
Thank you for more happy memories than can be counted Grandpa!
It was sad to hear of Uncle Bob’s passing. I am sorry that I cannot be there to honor him but would like to pass along my thoughts of Uncle Bob.
103. That was my score of my first ever real round of golf as a kid. And Uncle Bob was nice enough to take me to Durand for my first ever round of golf! From our holiday visits as a kid, I can still hear his chuckle, sometimes at his own jokes! And joking he seemed to do a lot of as I recall. Reflecting back, as a kid, I appreciate the respect he showed to my Dad and in general to everyone.
So I have fond memories of his kindness and I admired his outlook on life. In the end the memories are all we have, and I think they are eternal.
Bless you Uncle Bob.
Terry and Sarah,
Our deepest sympathy for you and your family during this sad time.
Our hearts and prayers go out to you.
