I remember my Uncle Bob as being a quiet, kind and loving man. I was so glad he got the chance to see my mother, his sister Mary Louise, at my daughter Terri’s wedding 10 years ago. They were happy as children together, yet grew up very poor. They walked to school together along Falstaff Rd., and down Helendale Rd. to the Laurelton School, which is now the office bldg. of my granddaughters’ pediatrician. As a teen, I stayed with Uncle Bob and his family on St. Paul Blvd. and I remember going hiking through Seneca Park with him and my cousins. Aunt Lillian stayed at home. When my late husband was looking for employment after college, Uncle Bob called to assist in any way he could with getting Tom into Eastman Kodak. Coincidentally, several days before my uncle died, I was looking over family pictures and found one of him, my mother, Aunt Joyce and Uncle Harry as children. He was about 3. I noticed his nose looks alot like mine! Like my mom, who will be with the Lord three years ago tomorrow, he was such a sweet person. May you rest in peace, Uncle Bob, with your siblings, Mother and Dad. With love- Joanne xxoo
P.S. My mother always called you ‘Robert’!
