Rita M. Kowaski Gates: Thursday, August 9, 2018. Predeceased by her husband, Frank Kowaski; brothers and sisters. Survived by her daughters, Susan Burke, Wendy (Mark) Flynn; grandchildren, Jennifer Burke, Jeffrey (Marissa) Burke, Tracy (Matthew) Smith, Heather Flynn; great-grandchildren, Gunnar and Kira Smith, Estella and Enright Burke; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Friends may call Thursday (August 16th) 9-11 AM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday (Aug 16TH) 12 NOON at St. Michael’s Church, 869 N. Clinton Ave. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.     Wendy, I will always remember your Mom with a smile. I was so sorry today to read about her passing. I have such good memories of all of the nights spent on Birr Street and her great listening skills and advice! My prayers go out to you and your family.
