Richard “Rich” Nasso, 80 years old of Rochester, NY, passed away January 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. 

Rich is survived by the love of his life and wife of 62 years, Carolyn Nasso; devoted children Lisa (Mike) Cerra, Linda (Darren) Roskey, John (Christina) Nasso; cherished grandchildren Sam (Joe) Roseto, Mel (Dukes) Cerra, Mark (Brittany) Roskey, Dave (Jen) Roskey, Tom (Bella) Roskey, Billy (Aurelia) Stewart, Alyssa (John Jay) Connors; great-granddaughter Amelia Roseto; brother Joe (Marie) Nasso; in-laws Mary Grace aka Cookie (Joe) Manuse, Terri (Chris) Rinaldi; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Rose Nasso; infant son Richard; siblings Dominick, Patsy, Joanne, Michael; parents-in-law Nick and Christine Jacovone; son-in-law Mark Roskey; nephew John Nasso; beloved cousin Ron Cavigliano.

Rich will be remembered as a warm-hearted man who was quick to laugh and share a joke with everyone he encountered. He knew how to clean a plate, especially if it was filled with great Italian food and sweets. He loved having deep conversations and never took life too seriously. Rich was also an avid concert-goer, even catching a great jazz show in his final weeks of life. 

May he rest peacefully and stay young-at-heart for eternity.

Visitation will be held at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road on Tuesday (January 20th) from 4-6pm, with service immediately following. Private burial Wednesday (January 21st) in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

    Our dear brother-in-law has left us but will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of family. He will be sorely missed. Our love to my dear sister, Carolyn, and my wonderful nieces, Lisa and Linda, and nephew, Johnny. We love you all.

    I love u Carolyn had lots of good Ole times at deli . Rich always made me laugh he always had a joke to tell. I’m gonna miss him stopping in at calabresellas to grab a steak sub n to make me laugh may he rest in peace xoxo

Im so glad i got to work with this great person he made working look so easy and always joking with me and teaching me something new haha .I had great memories working with the hole family and especially Joey and got to meet most all his brothers and Rich wife ❤️ They welcomed me with open arms going to miss you 😔

    My deepest condolences to the whole family. I will always remember Rich loading us up in the back of his truck as Kids and driving us around the neighborhood. He was always the fun, dad!
