Richard P. Boyer, Jr.

West Irondequoit: Peacefully surrounded by his family, Monday, February 16, 2015 at age 99. He was born October 23, 1915 in Newton, MA to the late Richard P. Boyer and Rita Gardner Boyer. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Grace DeGroote Boyer. He is survived by his daughter, Carol (Franklin) Mueller; sons, Richard III (Virginia) Boyer, Bruce (Kathryn) Boyer, Bradley (Regina) Boyer; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; dear friends. He is a graduate of the University of Maine in electrical engineering and has 17 U.S. patents to his credit. He was employed for 40 years at Stromberg-Carlson and 9 years at Kellogg Switchboard and Supply. Richard was a member of Greece United Methodist Church, the Rochester Theater Organ Society and Stromberg-Carlson Retirees Group. Friends may call Sunday (Feb 22nd) 1-4 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Memorial Service will be held Monday 11:30 AM at Greece United Methodist Church, 1924 Maiden Lane, Greece. Private Interment, White Haven Memorial Park.
