Greece: Saturday, May 18, 2013. Richard is predeceased by his wife, Irene P. Follett; daughter, Sharon Anderson; son, William Follett, Sr. Survived by his partner, Beverly B. Lewis; children, Richard Jr. (Phyllis) Follett; daughter, Patricia Follett (John Calkins), Robert Sr. (Kathy) Follett, Nancy (Keith) Hargrave, Marion (Tom) Palumbo; daughter-in-law, Karen Follett; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, sisters, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws; special niece Betty Jean (Jim) Scottow; nieces, nephews and dear friends. Richard was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Francis D. Hibbard Post #4658 and Hinsdale American Legion Norton Chambers Post #1434. Richard’s visitation will be held Wednesday, May 22nd 3-6PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. His Funeral Service will follow visitation at 6PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be held privately in White Haven Memorial Park. I met Dick at the gym a few years back. He was one of the true gentlemen left, on this earth. I will always remember to have one glass of wine each night he said that was one of his secrets to be healthy. I will miss seeing him smile and say ‘hello and chat about the weather.’ My deepest thoughts are with his family….
