Rochester: Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, 2012 at age 74. Predeceased by his loving wife, June L. Shannon. Survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Lynne and Robert and Delia Shannon; his daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and David Foser and Catherine and Paul McCormick; his grandchildren, Courtney Shannon, Shannon Foser, Michael, Sean and Conor McCormick, his sisters, Corky Shannon and Patricia (George) Cordeiro; several brothers and sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews. He was a Navy Veteran. Friends may call Monday, November 26th 4-7PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Rd. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10AM at Holy Apostles Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make contributions to the American Heart Assoc., 3500 Winton Place, Rochester, NY 14623 in his memory.

    So sorry for your loss. I knew Richard back when I went to school with Kate. He was a hoot back then! I was able to see him just a few weeks ago again and he was still the same. Just keep hold of all the good memories to get you through this time.
