Gates: Loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, suddenly Saturday, August 11, 2012 at age 70. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Ruth Lynn. Survived by his children, Timothy (Lisa) Lynn, Francine (Ken) Luciano, Michele Boyle (Sean); grandchildren, McKenzie, Liam, Madeline and Kristen; brother sister, nieces, nephews and friends. Richard was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company and enjoyed spending winters in Largo, Florida. Heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Strong Hospital in the Cardiac Care Unit. They referred to our dad as a ‘medical miracle’ him being the oldest surviving patient with his type of heart repair surgery. Your care and compassion during my father’s stay deserves recognition. He always told us that he felt like he was on a cruise ship only there wasn’t any water. We will always cherish those memories. Friends may call Monday (Aug 20th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. His Funeral Service will follow calling Monday at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.
