As my sister so wonderfully stated, I also remember all these great times we had with our always smiling, always making people laugh – brother Dick. You will be missed by us here on earth Dick, especially by your loving family … Linda, John, and Lisa. But all of us will eventually see you again up in heaven, and your sister Donna I am sure is thrilled to be with you. Love to you Dick, you will be missed.
    Peg Leone,

I will always have good memories of my Brother Dick. He was so good at trying to get people to laugh or smile, and was just a sweet, gentle man. One of my favorite memories is when he would come home from the US Navy on leave, when I was just a young girl, and take me to Lee’s Soda Shop where they had those old-fashioned little juke boxes on the counter. He would get me a banana split (or a cherry coke), and it was just such a treat! Also, at home with us younger kids, he would orchestrate a game of ‘Stop and Go’ (sometimes called, ‘Red Light, Green Light’, which we just loved. Dick will be fondly remembered here, but I believe he is totally enjoying eternity in the presence of Almighty God in that beautiful place called Heaven, along with enjoying the company of those who have already passed from this earth. I look forward to seeing Him there! Love you, Brother Dick!

My heartfelt condolences to you and all of Dick’s family and friends.

I came upon this memorial page by accident today while doing ancestry research. Your father – Bob Slade – was a half-brother to my grandmother, Elizabeth (Colmey) Moses, who will surely be saddened to hear of Dick’s passing. This is obviously a difficult time for your family, however, I feel it would be foolish of me not to seize the opportunity to communicate with the Slades.

If you or any of your siblings would be interested in contacting me, you can via email: I’d very much like to hear from you and again, I’m very sorry for the passing if your brother.
