I first met Richard when I interned at Park Ridge inpatient as an undergrad. He was the most welcoming and friendly individual. Through the years that I worked at the clinic after my internship I greatly enjoyed running into Richard quite regularly as he always had a funny story or kind words to share. I am greatly saddened to hear of his loss and wish for peace for all who knew and cherished him.

My dear Richard, It is hard to walk through the halls at work and not think of you. I will miss your face and smile, saying hello to me always and commenting on my hair (wishing you had some of mine:-) And I won’t forget the way you sang ‘Maria, I just met a nurse named Maria’. You always were on call, and even in the middle of the night, were so kind when I woke you about the patients. I know you had such a heart for people and wanted them to live the best lives they could. You are truly going to be missed on this earth and I have a hard time knowing that God would rather have you with Him than on this earth continuing to making a difference. At least now, you can breathe great and enjoy food. Love, Maria

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Richard will not be forgotten anytime soon by myself and always encouraged me everyday. His humor and smile will be missed. But most of all his faith in Jesus was very encouraging and pushed myself to grow as well. Jason Bugajski

Richard had the best outlook on life. He was always there when you needed to laugh on a bad day. He never let a day go by without some how letting people know God is there and will always listen to our prayers. Thank you Richard for all your wisdom and kindness when I needed it most. I will never forget you. It was an honor working with you and watching you work with people that only benefited by your kindness.

Richard’s heart and sense of humanity was as big as the Pacific Ocean. He was the first to volunteer, always gave until it hurt, and always stood up for the little guy. A friend to all and so much more. A hard worker who had a deep faith in God. I will miss him more than I can express. God speed Richard!
