Irene, Marianne and Don We are grieving over the loss of your husband and Dad. Our families became close friends when my Dad and Ray met and served in World War !!. I remember all the fun vacations we spent with your family. It was your inspiration that encouraged Joe and I to take the big step and move to Rochester. We appreciated all of your help as we became Rochesterians. Memories can’t be taken away and we will cherish our memories with all of you. Our prayers are with your families. May God help you through this loss of your loved one.

May God Bless all of you during this time. We are privileged to have known you and to have been friends for so long, starting with a friendship that began with my dad and Ray during WWII. It is truely a miracle that our families then met so many years ago after the war, and became such good friends, and no matter the distance and time between our visits, we were close in heart and mind. Our trips to the World Fair and Canada were treasured as well as the many weekends visiting each other, especially when we were younger. We will keep Ray in our hearts and prayers, and all his family as well. We love all of you.

My thoughts and prayers are with the LaCroix family. Ray was very good to me whenever I was at his home he always wanted to know what I needed. He took the time out to paint my bike, fix my truck over and over and was always concerned about how things were going. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to know him.

Though I didn’t know Ray for nearly long enough, there were things I knew about him even before we met. He was a man who worked an honest day, cut a break when his heart moved him to do so, and never had his hand out. His work spoke for itself. He grew beautiful flowers and vegetables and now his family and friends will forever be reminded of him when they see gladiolas, roses and tomatoes. He spent a lifetime with the woman he married when he was 20 years old. His friends loved him. The men in his life looked up to him. His family respected him. The women in his life depended upon him without disappointment. All the hallmarks of an extraordinary life. I am sure he will be missed, but forever reflected in the lives of those he touched. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to know him.

Words can’t say all that my Great Grandfather means to me. He was an inspiration to all and the best role model I could have ever asked for. He has taught me everything I know about life, hard work, respect, family, love, and devotion. I will miss our long conversations and working out in the garage together the most. My heart and love goes out to all my family and friends who were blessed enough to have known and loved this man, one of God’s best gifts to this world. I know he will be with us wherever we go. I love you Grandpa, you will never be forgotten. You are and always will be my Hero. Love Your Great Grandson, Michael
