Rochester: November 5, 2014, at age 98. He is survived by his wife of 78 years, Virginia M. (Downs) Blind; four children: Sr. Yvonne Blind, SSJ; David (Chong) Blind, Peter (Catherine) Blind and Daniel Blind; five grandchildren: Kim (Carl) Gurnett, Michelle (Michael) Faulkner, Kathleen, Thomas (Shalla) and Erin Blind; Nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Born June 17, 1916, Ray was a graduate of Holy Rosary School and Aquinas Institute class of 1934. Retired after 43 years with Eastman Kodak Co., he played and taught music for many years, and was an active parishioner in St. Charles Borromeo Church for over 6 decades. Family and Friends are invited to call Sunday, November 9th, 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 10th at 9:30 A.M. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Avenue, Greece. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Sr. Yvonne, David and Peter…. my condolences on the loss of your father. What a long and rich life he had. I’m currently out of town but will keep you in my thoughts. Hoping your Mother is well. I know she will be comforted by your presence.I’m remember ing those St Charles years and the connections we shared through our parents.
