Raymond E. Sexton Jr. Greece: Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024 at the age of 73 with his wife Chris of 50 years by his side. Ray served briefly in the US army during the Vietnam war. Ray worked for Eastman Kodak from 1972-2004 as a quality control supervisor and enjoyed traveling to Japan and Texas for work. Ray is survived by his sister Kristine (Michael) McKnight of Tennessee. Many nephews and nieces and friends, especially those at his second home at the Parkway Family Restaurant on Ling Rd. in Greece where you could always find him jawing away at the counter with buddies. He is predeceased by his parents Raymond Sr. and his mom Gloria Sexton. Also, his brother James Sexton of Australia, 2 sisters, Kathleen Sexton and Mary Mitchel. In his younger years Ray enjoyed sports such as tennis, golf, platform tennis, a talented baseball pitcher, long distance running and when called to the stage during his many karaoke nights he could belt out a great Elvis!! Ray also was a great dancer! (He inherited that from his dad who also could cut a rug). He and Chris met back in 1971 at the opening of a great disco club, The Orange Monkey. Ray’s real passion was FINE COOKING AND HAD A PALATE FOR FINE WINES. The Sexton dinners were quite an event. At one time he made a Caesar salad donning his chef’s jacket tableside. Chris and Ray have collected and saved at least four 3-ring binders filled with their favorite recipes and original ones of their own making. Friends may call Saturday Feb. 10th, 2:00-3:00 pm and at 3:00 pm a memorial service at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Rd. 14626. In lieu of flowers you may donate to your local AA chapter.

Dear Chris, May the happy memories of you and Ray be what sustains you at this time. Ray to me was always very kind and funny, also, knowledgeable. We’ll miss him. We know the enemy, death will be done away with forever, along with all sickness. How wonderful our gift of everlasting life that gives us hope for the future, God’s Kingdom!
