Dear Roxanne and all Peter’s loved ones, I am so sorry to hear about Peter’s death…we worked together in the early 1980’s at John Marshall. He was upbeat and kind, and I remember how well the students related to him. He would talk frequently about you, Roxanne. We also lived off Rocket St and we thought of ourselves as neighbors. I will always remember Peter with fondness. Wishing you much comfort in the days ahead. With deepest sympathy, Mary Silverman
Mr. Marella was my coach, my mentor, my critic, and my confidant. He not only taught me how to survive on a volleyball court, but also how to survive high school, college, and beyond. My eleven-year-old son just started playing volleyball last month, and I hear Marella coming out of my mouth as I coach him. I am forever indebted for the love and guidance Marella gave me during my formative years.
Our sincere condolences to Roxann, Jane and Lynne. We also share in your sorrow. We will miss Peter. Love, Barb and Paul
Peter and I worked together at Marshall for 17 years. We had so much fun together. He was a good man. My condolences to all of you especially Roxanne. Cheri Riley
Many great memories from our Marshall days. Lots of laughs. God speed old friend. I’ll see you one day in Rio. Miss you, Lynda M
