Dear Oppelt Family, I had the pleasure of working with your husband/father as I took over the responsibilities of the Fire On Ice tournament from him. To put it mildly, without his guidance and support, I’m not sure their would have been a tournament. He was there at every turn offering his expertise. He was a good man who was dedicated to his family and countless other hockey families. I hope your memories will sustain you during this most difficult time and may he rest in God’s peace
So Sad to hear if Pete’s passing. I met and worked with him many times on projects for JCI. I had lunch with him a few years ago at an ASHREA Convention. He was always respected, professional and smiling. A great guy. So Sorry for his loss. Sending prayers to him and his family. Ken Reasoner Victor, NY and hometown Canton, NY
Our condolences to Peter’s family. We are sorry for your loss. He was a good neighbor of ours at Honeoye. May he rest in peace. The Stefano and Lombard families
