Greece: June 15, 2013 at age 82. Jack is predeceased by his wife Mary Lou Muench; parents, Oswald Sr. & Jean Muench; daughter-in-law, Debby Rogers-Muench. He is survived by his children, Thomas (Susan) Muench, Mary Pat (Willard, Sr.) Prevost, John (Mary Anne) Muench, Jean (Colin) Williams & Susan Chichester; grandchildren, Megan Nelson, Caitlin (Brian) Walleshauser, John, Daniel & Christopher Prevost, Carolyn (Bret) Mavity, Justin, Brittany, BethAnne, & Makayla Muench, Briana Hafnerr; Shane Chichester, Willard (Tammy) Prevost, Jr., Anne (Tim) McGlashon, Mary Anita (Martyn) Rehberg & Timothy (Kim) Prevost; great-grandsons, Kellen & Riley Nelson, Noah Muench & Jack Walleshauser; 9 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Marilyn) Muench; brothers-in-law, Lawrence Kavanaugh & Col. Ret. Elwood Shemwell; sisters-in-law, Joan Swarthout & Marie Kavanaugh & Mary Ann Salt; several nieces and nephews; dear friends, John Holihan, Bill Baker, Wayne Chichester; many dear friends. Jack was a long time member of Holy Cross Church and the National Active and retired Federal Employees. He was past treasurer of Chapter 124. Jack is a Veteran of the United States Army and served our country proudly. Friends may call Wednesday, June 19th, 4-8 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece Chapel, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 20th, 11:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Church, 4488 Lake Avenue. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will follow Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holy Cross Church or a charity of your choice in his memory.

Jack was a gentleman and great friend. We became acquainted at NARFE meetings and after we bowed out we kept in touch and had many laughs via emails.

Jack was a special person and a pleasure to work with. Jack’s positive attitude and sense of humor brightened the lives of many.
