Greece: Thursday, May 28, 2015 at age 92. Predeceased by his parents; Helen Friga Rodak and Nicholas Rodak, sisters; Anna (Lyle) Fardette, Mary (Frank) Sile, Pearl (Samuel) Bonacci, Helen (Raymond) McKain, Julia Rodak, Irene (Donald) Alkins, brothers; Joseph (Marjorie) Rodak, John (Shirley) Rodak, sister in laws; Dorothy, Betty, and Faye Rodak, nephews; Douglas Rodak, George Bonacci, Richard McKain, and Ronald Rodak. Survived by his loving wife of 62 years: Jean Rodak, children; Daniel (Sara Carpenter) Rodak, Donna (Jim) Kulp, Dianne (John) Maher; grandchildren; Carrie Bishop, Brian Rodak, Eric (Tiffany Staton) Rodak, Nicholas, Brandon & Amy Kulp, Lisa (Mark) Rapp & Alex Maher; great grandchildren, Mackenna & Katelyn Bishop, Dalton & Madeline Rapp and Denver Rodak; brothers, George, William & Peter Rodak; nieces, nephews, many loving family and dear friends. Nicholas was a proud Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps 783rd Bomb Squadron, served our Country in WWII from November 1942 to November 1945 as a 1st Lieutenant and B-24 Co-pilot. After the war he was a member of the American Legion Post Ira Jacobson 474. He retired from Eastman Kodak Company after 42 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed duck hunting with the guys. They were dear to him and he loved the male comradery. Being in the woods, whether hunting or napping, made him happy. He was a member of Lake Plains Water Fowl club. Spending time at his cottage with his family, boating and fishing were among his favorite activities. Discussing politics was a true passion for him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Nicholas’ visitation will be held Tuesday, June 2nd 4-8 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. His Funeral Service will be celebrated Wednesday, June 3rd 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Entombment, Riverside Cemetery.
