Bob was a great friend and mentor when we worked together in Black and White Paper Development.

Bob and I worked together in Paper Sensitizing. I remember him as a caring professional who would always have time to help you out of a problem. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I knew Bob for the better part of the 30 years I worked there. I did work on a training assignment with him and he was ever so helpful. I ran into him occasionally at Wegman’s and we always chatted for a few minutes. He will be missed by many.

I was blessed to know and work with Bob in Paper Sensitizing’s B&W product heyday in the 60’s and 70’s. ‘Si’ had the ability to work smoothly with everyone and knew how to get experimental work done and quickly. Most of those associates are now gone –Rosey, Woody, John Morton, Bob Duerr — those were great times on the 6th Floor, B-57. And we did learn to enloy some of Bob’s outdoor interests, like ice fishing in near zero conditions. My sympathy and best wishes to you all.

We were fortunate to have Bob & Verna as next door neighbors for many years. Bob was a very friendly & enjoyed talking fishing with Vic. My children remember the time my son broke his garage window with a baseball & Bob said no problem & fixed it. He wouldn’t accept any money. He was kind and pleasant. Our condolences to his family.
